About StudyCELTA

from our crawl and measurement

"Get qualified to teach English as a Foreign Language. Cambridge CELTA courses and DELTA modules face-to-face or online from around the world." That is how Home introduces itself. To AI engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity it is partially visible, scoring 6.3 out of 10, readable in places and missing in others.

On the page itself the strengths are clear: a clear heading structure and sitemaps and entity links AI can follow. It is passable on some structured data, a partly stated business identity, a few credibility markers and basic crawler access.

Away from its own site, other sites link to it. There is some, but not much, sign that the domain is only lightly established. Beyond that, AI engines do not yet recognise it as a distinct business, there is no press coverage to draw on, nobody is discussing it where AI engines look and it does not come up on Reddit. Those are earned elsewhere on the web, not fixed on the site itself.

AI crawlers have visited once in our tracking, including ClaudeBot (Anthropic). It does link out to several social profiles, which helps engines tie the brand together.

What this score means

Your AEO score measures whether AI search engines - ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini - can actually read your site and cite it in answers. Roughly two-thirds of sites are invisible to them. At 6.3/10, StudyCELTA has a working base to build on - fixable, and the signals above are where to start.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the entry requirements for the CELTA?

The basic entry requirements for the CELTA course are that you are over 18 (although most schools prefer that you are at least 20 years old), have enough education to enter higher education (i.e. a high school diploma, A-levels or equivalent) and that you can show a native or near-native grasp of the English language (i.e. a strong C1 or IELTS 7.5).

How are the online CELTA and the face-to-face CELTA different?

The only difference between the online CELTA and the face-to-face CELTA is the format in which you take the course. The online CELTA has exactly the same content, with the format allowing you to take it from home. For the face-to-face CELTA you will need to be physically present in the location where you are taking the course. The online CELTA holds exactly the same weight as a face-to-face course.

What is the difference between a full-time (intensive) and a part-time CELTA?

The full-time (intensive) CELTA course is four to six weeks, while the part-time CELTA course can vary between seven weeks to around 24 weeks part-time study. The full-time CELTA will allow you to get qualified in a relatively short period of time, but will rely on a full-time commitment to the course.
